MEDCONNECT – REFUND POLICY
This Refund Policy governs refunds and cancellations for services booked through the MedConnect platform (“Platform”) operated by MedConnect Georgia 2025 LLC (Georgian: შპს „მედქონექთ ჯორჯია 2025“, ID: 430049501).
By using MedConnect, you agree to this Refund Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions.
1. General Principles
1.1. MedConnect is a technology platform that facilitates bookings and, in some cases, payments between patients and independent healthcare service providers, including nurses and clinics (“Service Providers”).
1.2. Refund eligibility depends on:
The type of service booked
Whether payment was made through the Platform
The timing of cancellation
Whether the service was successfully delivered
1.3. MedConnect does not issue refunds for services that were paid directly to clinics or providers outside the Platform, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2. Online Consultations (Online Booking & Online Payment)
2.1 Cancellation by Patient
More than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation:
The patient is eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.Within 24 hours of the scheduled consultation:
The payment is non-refundable.No-show (failure to attend without cancellation):
The payment is non-refundable.
2.2 Cancellation by Clinic or Provider
If the clinic or provider:
Cancels the consultation, or
Fails to deliver the consultation due to reasons attributable to the provider
➡️ The patient is eligible for a full refund.
3. Nursing Services (Online Booking & Online Payment)
3.1 Cancellation by Patient
More than 24 hours before the scheduled visit:
The patient is eligible for a full refund.Within 24 hours of the scheduled visit:
The payment is non-refundable.No-show:
The payment is non-refundable.
3.2 Cancellation by Nurse
If the nurse:
Cancels the visit, or
Does not arrive within a reasonable time window without prior notice
➡️ The patient is eligible for a full refund.
4. In-Clinic Visits (Online Booking & Offline Payment)
4.1. For in-clinic visits where:
The appointment is booked through MedConnect, and
Payment is made directly at the clinic,
MedConnect does not process payments or refunds.
4.2. Any refund, cancellation, or dispute related to such visits is governed by the clinic’s own policies, and the patient must contact the clinic directly.
5. Partial Refunds
5.1. Partial refunds may be issued only if:
A service was partially delivered, and
The Service Provider confirms the partial fulfillment
5.2. MedConnect reserves the right to determine refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis in coordination with the Service Provider.
6. Refund Processing Time
6.1. Approved refunds will be processed within 1–3 business days, depending on:
The payment method used
Bank or payment provider processing times
6.2. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.
7. Platform Fees and Commissions
7.1. In cases where a refund is approved:
Any platform fees or commissions already deducted may be reversed, unless the service was partially or fully delivered.
7.2. MedConnect reserves the right to retain platform fees where permitted by law and where the service was made available but not used due to patient no-show or late cancellation.
8. Abuse and Repeated Cancellations
8.1. MedConnect reserves the right to:
Restrict booking privileges
Temporarily suspend accounts
Terminate accounts
for users who repeatedly abuse refunds, cancellations, or no-show policies.
9. Exceptional Circumstances
9.1. In exceptional cases (e.g., medical emergencies, force majeure), MedConnect may, at its sole discretion, review refund requests outside standard rules.
9.2. Supporting documentation may be required.
